According to most of our newcomers, education of our children is the most important factor in a relocation. Here is some basic information. For a complete list of schools and test scores, please call 1-800-342-6683 for our area School Reports or you may call the counties directly - phone numbers are listed to the right. Each county and city has their own school system and school curriculum. Most schools begin the Tuesday after Labor Day. Documents needed to enroll in a Virginia Public School are: 1. Original Birth Certificate 2. Original Social Security Card 3. Updated Medical Records on Virginia State Health Form 4.
